Just wondering . . .

Hi friends in the land of the intertubez! We decided to post a little something other than a make up review today. Since we have been updating regularly for the last couple of weeks we wanted to ask you guys if you had any feedback. We are curious about our readers! I know a lot of you out there are supportive friends, but I have a feeling there are some people we don’t know who have stumbled upon our little blog. So please leave a comment and let us know anything, like who you are, how you found Sweet Glow Beauty, what you like or dislike about it, what you want to see more of, what you want to see less of, etc. We really want to maintain this blog to the best of our abilities. We eventually will be posting daily but for now we have been limiting ourselves to 3 posts a week so we don’t get overwhelmed. We are having a lot of fun with this blog and we hope that it is as much fun for the readers! Thanks guys, and expect a make up review on Friday!

  1. ladies,

i found your blog through my friend, LW. i used to work with her, and i suspect one of you does currently. (mirna, did we maybe meet while swooning over jacob black's well-defined abdominals? hmm.)

anyhoo, i adore what you've done so far with the site. i am a serial cheap makeup buyer who is in a rut, but i've long suspected that better-quality products could amp up my pretty. however, i've been deterred from making the financial leap to Sephora and similar out of fear that i would end up exhausting my meager budget on product that would ultimately disappoint.

hence, your reviews are invaluable. i specifically like your cost/use analysis, the pictures (which, combined with your great descriptions, help me understand much better the product's function and application), and your honesty about what you think is underwhelming or just marketing fluff. and i'm seriously considering taking better care of my nails now that i've seen Off with Her Red. oh---and i have criminally sensitive skin and would love to hear what's worked for you to keep your skin healthy and non-irritated/-rashy.

also, i love your use of the word "pot." "jar"? predictable. "pot"? accurate yet evocative. (almost time-warpy.) that is all.

keep up the good work, ladies.

  3. DJ,

We did swoon over a certain teenage werewolves' abs! I remember! I am glad to hear that the blog is proving helpful to you. We both are also unfortunate owners of sensitive skin so we will definitely be having more posts about products that are sensitive-friendly. I appreciate the comment and encourage more! Look out for more nail polish posts--I am an addict! Take care!

  4. You guys should post more pictures of you using the products, or at least swatches for eyeshadows and lipsticks. Obvi. this isn't necessary for lotions and stuff (please, no before and after wrinkly, ashy elbows), but for makeup it would be nice. You've done it some which is great. Keep up the good work!

  5. Love the blog. The writing is perfect---chatty but not too cutesy; informative but not dry. And I actually think I will use the advice you give. Very nice.
